Lash Extensions FAQ's
How long will my Lash Extension last?
Your new set of lashes is expected to last up to four weeks. It is recommended to get refills every two to three weeks to replace the lashes that have fallen out and the ones that have grown out. This will help you maintain the full and beautiful look of your lashes. Depending on your natural lash growth cycle, some people can extend their touch-up session to three weeks. However, certain factors can affect how long your lashes last, such as your lifestyle, skincare routine, hormonal birth control use, and tendency to sleep on your stomach.
Can lash extensions cause damage to my natural lashes or result in their falling out?
Lash extensions do not damage your natural lashes if they are applied with proper isolation, appropriate weight, and proper aftercare. Lash artists attach the synthetic lashes to adult lashes, leaving young ones to develop. Lash extensions do not cause natural eyelashes to fall out, as they have their life cycle.
How long does it take to apply lash extensions?
On average, it takes around 1.5-2 hours to apply eyelash extensions, though this time may vary depending on various factors. Refill appointments are usually needed every 2-4 weeks to maintain the extensions, and they can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. This treatment is non-invasive and provides a relaxing experience.
How do I prepare for my Lash Appointment?
Arrive without eye makeup, don't curl lashes or wear mascara before the appointment, and avoid excessive caffeine. Avoid coffee as it can make you jittery and slow down the application process.
How often should I come in for my lash refills?
We recommend getting lash refills every 2-3 weeks to avoid needing a full set again. Refills require at least 40-50% of lash extensions still on. Over 21 days is considered a new set and will be charged accordingly. Refills take 45-60 minutes.
Lash extensions cannot be applied if:
It's important to know that you cannot apply lash extensions if you have had an allergic reaction to them in the past. This is the most crucial information we need to know before booking an appointment. If you have experienced any swelling, unusual redness, or itchiness with previous lash extensions, please inform us. Allergic reactions can be uncomfortable and may worsen with repeated exposure. In case you think you may be experiencing any symptoms of an allergic reaction, we strongly recommend that you visit a doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible. Please note that all semi-permanent eyelash glues, which are used for applying eyelash extensions (not stick-on, temporary false lashes), contain cyanoacrylate, a key ingredient that can cause allergies.
